The Magic of Grounding: In Nature (Part 1)
Mmm, the magic of grounding. Grounding is an ideal way to integrate everything we learn. It gives us inner peace, harmony, and connection to ourselves and the Earth.
I am frequently airy despite my grounding astrological sign, Taurus. I love daydreaming, visualizing and imagining, connecting to angels, and channeling. Occasionally, I get comfort in my thoughts that move me forward to the next thing, and I forget to come home to myself and ground myself in the here and now.
You see, when your mind is spiraling with thoughts and ideas, it’s easy to miss out on the earthly pleasures of life.
Sweet Memories
When I lived in Maine’s woods, I remembered my childhood, running barefoot on never-ending fields of wildflowers, hugging and climbing trees.
The childhood memories infused me to disappear into Maine’s woods, exploring without shoes for hours. I love feeling squishy mud between my toes, the soft, cushiony green moss, crunchy leaves, and the cool embrace of streams of water. In those moments, I felt grounded and connected to myself and Mother Earth.
Earthing and hugging trees are my favorite ways to get grounded.
Earthing
Whenever I can take my shoes off in nature (earthing), I connect with the soft grass or nurturing soil under my feet.
I bring my hands to my heart, close my eyes, and take deep breaths.
I invite you to experience it yourself.
Thank the nature around you and receive gifts to nurture your soul, body, and mind. Take it all in and release the swirling thoughts, worries about the future, or dwelling on the past.
With each breath, listen to Earth’s whispers: bird’s songs, rusty leaves under your feet, running water, the chatting squirrels.
Connecting with trees
I invite you to wrap your arms around a tree to feel its loving energy. Deeply inhale the earth’s fragrance. Get connected. Ask a tree for strength and centeredness.
I love embracing trees and remembering to be like a tree with deep-anchored roots and stretched branches to the sky.
The deeper we root ourselves in the world, the higher we can reach for the stars.
My sweetheart, come home to yourself by grounding every day. No more spending so much time in our minds. Grounding ourselves allows us to receive and bring wisdom and guidance into our bodies and lives effectively.
