Practical Integration Tips for Processing
“Becoming integrated and whole is the spiritual path. The body is your vehicle. Your job is to learn about yourself from your experiences and change yourself. This is spiritual growth.” ~ Gary Zukav
Do you feel the shift in your life? Do you take time to reflect on and integrate the lessons learned?
I can feel overwhelming shifts after activations, inner work, ancient remembering, or energy work with other healers. I learn and expand my mind with new knowledge. When my body buzzes with energy, that’s my signal to get grounded ASAP and use the practical tools I share below.
The call to enter the place of integration is a powerful reminder to process received realizations, wisdom, and insights while embodying them all.
Integration can be uncomfortable. And that is okay. Cry, scream, stomp if you need to. Use a safe environment and don’t worry about how you look. You’re doing it FOR yourself! Not others.
Let go of resistance. Allow the new level of understanding and energy flow to move through you. Integration is about connecting knowledge and awareness to our hearts. So be sure to take action. And practice what you’ve learned while walking the talk.
So, slowing down and processing is necessary instead of moving to another activity or experience.
Do you give yourself time to reflect and integrate when you learn or experience something new and profound?
I want to share my favorite tools that help me get grounded, embody, and process anything I need to move forward.
8 Practical Integration Tips:
- Meditate, do simple breathwork, or repeat a mantra. “Aham Prema” – “I am Divine Love” is my favorite. You can listen to it on YouTube here.
- Contemplate, reflect, and journal in a peaceful, sacred space. Don’t hold yourself back. Instead, pour everything that you need onto a piece of paper.
- Dance like nobody’s watching. Shake your body, releasing any stagnant energy. Drum to connect to Mother Earth and your heartbeat. Hum, or sing your favorite or made-up songs.
- Stay hydrated – drink lots of water or herbal tea to allow energy flow.
- Take slow steps outside and observe your surroundings and notice tiny details. Sit with nature and listen to its sounds. Earthing, aka walking bare feet on the soft cushion of grass, is my favorite. Hug a tree. Say a prayer or thank Mother Earth.
- Let your body relax. Get a body massage. Take a cleansing and rejuvenating bath while listening to relaxing music. Treat yourself well and just be fully present in your body.
- Process and express information through any art form. Draw. Paint. Use any suggestions in number 3.
- Make space in your life: declutter your closet, desk, and pantry. Clear your calendar and schedule quality time for yourself, friends, or family. Say “no” to habits that drain or don’t serve you.
You might have your own unique way of integrating and applying everything you receive. If not, choose one from the list, commit to it, and see how it works for you.
“Wellness is the complete integration of body, mind, and spirit – the realization that everything we do, think, feel, and believe has an effect on our state of well-being.” ~ Greg Anderson
