Creating Deeper Connections with Others

“Connecting with others gives us a sense of inclusion, connection, interaction, safety, and community. Your vibe attracts your tribe, so if you want to attract positive and healthy relationships, be one! Staying connected and getting reconnected feeds the flow of goodness which empowers our humanity.” ― Susan C. Young

Do you miss connecting with others and having a deep, meaningful talk? I’m sure I do.

Sometimes when I don’t communicate with people much, especially face-to-face, I sense I’m losing social skills and getting out of touch.

It’s important to remember that we’re not alone on our journey. If we reach out to like-minded people we resonate with, we realize we don’t need to walk this path alone.

When we share what we are going through, what makes us laugh or cry, brings us joy, makes us happy or sad, or where we are in our lives, we receive emotional support. It allows us to feel heard, seen, and supported.

And most of all, we feel connected.

So, sharing where we are now and talking about our dreams can help us see and hear our visions.

After talking to my like-minded and soulful people, I get energized. It feels as if activation and remembrance flow through my veins. I get inspired to create, show up, and move forward to pursue my dreams with courage. Connecting deeper with others and building community gives me a sense of belonging.

There’s plenty of support all around us. We just need to know where to look and allow ourselves to open up, be vulnerable, and be authentic. It’s super empowering to have a group of like-minded people in your life.

How to create a community in your life:

  • Reach out to people who inspire and motivate you. Make a “meeting date” to have tea/coffee, a meal, a walk, or anything else that seems reasonable. For long-distance friends, set up a phone or Zoom call. Don’t be discouraged if someone isn’t available. Life happens. Instead, contact someone else until you set up plans.
  • Consider attending workshops with your interest or joining a women’s circle. You can look for like-minded people on social media and join online groups to remind you – you are not alone. If you are interested in joining my Creative HUB gathering or Soul SiStars circle (not available this year), you can find benefits here.

We can hold each other accountable for being our best selves and reflect on areas we still need to grow. When we work together, we foster trust in one another. Being in the community gives our lives meaning, fulfillment, and connection.

I am looking forward to connecting with you.
